スカヨハ（スカーレット・ヨハンソン）の映画辞退が話題になっています！！
【AFP＝時事】新作映画でトランスジェンダー（性別越境者）の犯罪者役に起用されたことで猛反発を招いていた米女優スカーレット・ヨハンソン（Scarlett Johansson、33）は13日、この役を辞退することを明らかにした。

スカヨハが辞退した映画は『Rub and Tug（原題）』で役柄は実在したトランスジェンダー男性のダンテ・「テックス」・ジル。
1970～80年代の裏社会で暗躍した人物だそうです。

La historia de "Rub & Tug" está basada en hechos reales.Trata sobre "Tex Gill",que regentró en #Pittsburg una red de salones de masaje que escondían una red de prostitución.Tex había nacido mujer y se llamaba "Lois Jean" pero se identificaba como hombre.

その理屈でいくと”ドラゴンボールZのハリウッド版”はNGだし、そもそもハリウッド版「攻殻機動隊」でスカヨハが素子役に起用されたのもダメじゃないですかね？w（当時は白人が何故日本人役なの？っとプチ炎上しましたが・・・）
あまりの炎上っぷりに最後は
「私がダンテ・テックス・ジル役を演じることについて最近浮上している倫理上の疑念を受け、このプロジェクトへの参加を謹んで辞退することを決めた。トランスジェンダーの人々に対する文化的理解は進み続けており、自分の配役について最初の声明を出した後、私はそのコミュニティーから多くを学び、今はこの声明が無神経だったと自覚している」

While I would have loved the opportunity to bring Dante’s story and transition to life, I understand why many feel he should be portrayed by a transgender person, and I am thankful that this casting debate, albeit controversial, has sparked a larger conversation about diversity and representation in film. In light of recent ethical questions raised surrounding my casting as Dante Tex Gill, I have decided to respectfully withdraw my participation in the project. Our cultural understanding of transgender people continues to advance, and I’ve learned a lot from the community since making my first statement about my casting and realize it was insensitive. I have great admiration and love for the trans community and am grateful that the conversation regarding inclusivity in Hollywood continues. According to GLAAD, LGBTQ+ characters dropped 40% in 2017 from the previous year, with no representation of trans characters in any major studio release. 殺人鬼の役は殺人鬼しか演じられないし、シリアルキラー役を単独殺人犯が演じたら差別になるわけか
なんかやらかしたの？かなって思ったらそんな背景だったとは。アメリカってよくわかりませんね。理解に苦しむ。
トランスジェンダー役をそうでない役者さんが演じるのは、大変だと思うけど、それが役者さんの技量の見せ所でもあって、批判が少しおかしい気もする。
